Searching, Searching, SEARCHING FOR ME!

It's time for.... an elusive appearance of Wildcard Wednesday!!! Yayyyyy! I was checking out my blogger stats last night and as usual, the first thing I look for is where my hits are coming from. A lot of them come from google (which is pretty awesome but rarely results in return readers but such is life) so I scroll down to "search keywords" to see how people are finding me and I enjoyed that someone searched "when donating plasma what fluids do they put back into you" the answer was ACTUALLY in the silly story about me donating plasma! Of course I don't know if they actually read or searched enough to locate the answer.

Another search query was for "what would lorelai gilmore do blog" which my blog is not. I just blogged about Lorelai Gilmore once (or more probably). But now I feel like there needs to BE a "what would lorelai gilmore do" blog, if there isn't one, and I should make it. Or use the idea in some posts from time to time. Maybe if I ever follow through with starting a video blog, not that I've mentioned it here before, but now I have and it's just a thought I have but I'm not sure how I would execute it so who knows. But anyway.... one of my friends who doesn't really watch Gilmore Girls, said she watched it one day last week and that I remind her exactly of Lorelai (my favorite compliment ever). And she was the second person to tell me that. So I feel that I'm the right person for a "WWLGD" blog. We'll see.

Well that's all I have to say. I checked my google analytics for more keyword searches to see if there are any random awesome ones but not really. People pretty much find something related to what they searched for on my site. "christina ricci reference community" had the longest view. That person must have actually read the whole post. They should have it was a damn good post which I put way too much time into for what it was. :P

Ciao bitches! (OMG. I think I just came up with my video blog's catch phrase. No one steal it IT'S MINE!)

Chill Out, Kirk, We're Here for the Movie

Good evening world! I almost didn't do a post today out of laziness/lack of a post idea. Then I remembered something I wanted to post about! One of my real life friends, Mike,(that's right, I have [at least] one!) has started his own blog! Since my blogging (and nagging) is what motivated him to finally start it, (he had thought about it way long ago but hadn't made it happen), I feel responsible for the success of his blog and hence am plugging it here. He also said he wants to guest post for me sometime so you can all look forward to that!

"thespotlightreview" is a movie review blog. To quote his blog:
"The reason my blog is called The Spotlight Review is that along with reviews of movies, TV shows, etc.  I want to put a spotlight (pun intended) on a movie or TV show that I want to specifically recognize.

"Now most of the time it will probably be a positive reason, although at times I might want to highlight a movie so horrible that I just can’t restrain from commenting."

So there you have it. Any cinephiles (and everyone else too), go now and subscribe! And he won't be boring and review the latest hit movie that you just saw last week, he's bringing you awesome movies that you might not have heard of otherwise. And he has good taste, in my opinion.

Sorry for the squeezed video, couldn't find a better one.

If I Wasn't Lorelai Gilmore I Would Be Gil...less

First some news. I was a guest blogger for Ashely over at After Nine to Five today. I did a DIY scrapbook page which is AWESOME. Check it and the rest of her blog out cause it's tons of fun!

Also, this week I was chosen to be the Featured Blogger on Colorful Rant's of a Fed Up Sista. I got this badge to prove it:

Awesome blog if you aren't scared off by her crass, honest, in-your-face writing style. I love it. You should too, just don't say you weren't warned.

Now onto the topic at hand.

This week (and then some) on TV!:

Larry King. He's really old.

Last week...
We had the return of Secret Life of the American Teenager. I have one word for their writing staff: pronouns. It's astounding how many sentence subjects are reiterated 4-8 times in 4-8 sentences even if it's between two different people. Painful. Example: "Adrien is going to have my baby" "I know Adrien is going to have your baby, and because Adrien is having your baby you need to do the right thing" "I know I have to do the right thing because Adrien is going to have my baby." Now that is not an actual quote but it could be. And you see what I mean. I was seriously hoping that I would be able to just not watch it and not long for a lobotomy every Monday night but alas, with nothing else on Mondays curiosity of what happens to the characters has gotten the best of me. It's going to be a long season. Two more words: acting lessons.
Someone put Ben on Castle... and named him Ashley. Hahahahaha

This week...
AMC's new crazy-insane-fucking-around-with-shit style show, The Killing. For those of you not watching, AMC likes to push boundaries with it's original programming more than any other cable network and somehow they get away with it. Well there are probably people up in arms about their shows but since I haven't been in telecommunications classes since 2007, so I haven't heard anything about it. ANYWAY. Pretty entertaining but fairly predicable. Which doesn't bother me because when I can guess what's going to happen, I feel smart.
Anyone else remember Ryan Renyolds on Two Guys and A Girl?
Moving along.
Conan. Doesn't stop being awesome. Not for a moment.
"This guy's huge!" (Conan himself is 6'4" and loves finding dudes who are taller than him)

Parenthood, good-not-great, I guess I want it to be funnier but it's not really supposed to be. But Lauren Graham was lovely as always. Oh! Huge pet peeve of mine: people who refer to "the prom" simply as "prom." Am I the only one who thinks people sound retarded when they say "I can't wait for prom" or "I'm going to wear high-heels on prom." ? (Oh yeah also people who say "on prom" instead of "to prom," even worse.) Just think about how much more right it sounds to say "I'm going to wear high-heels to the prom). So you all should agree, and start using "the" when referring to...the prom, and you will be a better person for it. </rant>
For anyone who doesn't know Lorelai Gilmore's real name.

Lights Out wrapped up it's debut season on FX, home to the awesomeness that is Always Sunny, The League, Rescue Me, and Archer (watch all of these). First I have to say "uh oh" But then again, who's surprised really? Best worst line: "Save that rage for the stage; the mojo for the Dojo." Weird, I thought they we're boxing, not karate fighting. I half expected Ralph Macchio to show up. Okay not really. Would have been AMAZING though. I have less issue with comparing the boxing ring to a stage since there's certainly a bit of pageantry going on. At least up until the fighting actually starts. Oh and worst dress goes to... Michelle from 24:
What costumer thought THAT was a good dress to put her in?
Mr. Sunshine. My favorite episodes are the ones Jose Garcia is in. Especially because Matthew Perry's character keeps calling him Bobert. Which, btw, is what "Bob" should actually be short for. This week, funny as ever and we got to see the girl from Party Down...not that ANY of you watched that. You may know her better as Janice Ian.
I too have keep my face on the front of my head.

Perfect Couples. I know what you're thinking, "what?" Yeah. Kinda wish I never started watching this one but it has The Waitress from Always Sunny, and it's in the NBC Thursday night line up, so I had to. I have a tendency to watch shows because someone I like is on it or not watch one that has someone I don't like. I pretty much only watch Rizzoli and Isles because Kate from NCIS is on it and every time I catch a Zeva episode of NCIS I spend the whole hour missing Kate.
That's Kate, and oh look! Jan from The Office.

Now if only my sitcoms would come back already.

To go along with this weeks theme of actors I loved on other shows, I'm gonna wrap this here post with one more:
Community's Danny Pudi on Gilmore Girls?!?? Heck yeah!

Tumblr/Twitter Not-Tuesday

2nd late post in a week. Sorry to anyone if you noticed. Everyone who didn't notice, well you should pay more attention to me because, well, why wouldn't you. I've been a little off my game for the past week and will do my best to do that less or not at all. At least not twice in one week :) Also, if you notice that I have links to things that have nothing to do with seemingly anything, (such as the one above), That's just my way of taking you with me on the tangent filled journey that is my train of thought. And I thought it might add some fun for you guys!  Moving along, I bring you, this weeks: Tumblr/Twitter Tuesday.

Just like a lot of things such as blogging and other stuff I can't specifically think of right now, I'm about 5 years late of these newfangled things called podcasts. I blame it on not having an Ipod and my incorrect understanding that you could only listen to them with an Ipod. Or atleast I just never thought there was anything of quality that I would be interested in. That was until comedian Greg Behrendt tweeted about the podcast he does which I fell in love with immediately.
So much randomness, so much self-deprecation, so much hilarity. Available on iTunes of course and also here for direct download. I should warn you that there are a bunch of inside jokes now which can be confusing so I recommend going back to the beginning if you like this week's.

If you like the Gilmore Girls and are Tumblr you must follow:
If you're not on Tumblr, its time to join so you can follow lukesdiner. Nothing but Gilmore Girls picture quotes. It's exactly what my Tumblr feed was missing.  You're welcome.
