Comics

I want to shop at this supermarket.
I love that I have only ever gotten jobs I've earned. (p.s. actually not being sarcastic)

Unspoken Objectives

This has never ever ever ever ever happened to me ever.

Awesomesauce

I keep thinking that it's time to take down my tree but then become too lazy to actually do it. I'm starting to fear that it's pissing off my roommate and that I better do it ASAP. Also I decided upon a name for my comic strip, aptly, "Awesomesauce." Naturally, I was watching Parks and Recreation at the time of inspiration. Hmm I wonder what Leslie Knope thinks about that...
I thought as much. Anyway, the strip:

He probably doesn't even notice it.

Coffee Break

GOOD MORNING! Okay I know it's not morning, unless you're reading this in the morning any day after I post this, in which case... whatever. Anyway.

So something exciting and blog related I did was I made my very own font on my blog picture handwriting. I know aren't you jealous that YOU didn't spend the time to do the same? But it will make adding text to my pictures a million times easier which means more posts for you (in theory)! We'll see how that works out. So here's a sample of it:
Yeah it looks like I just wrote it but that's because I did, except only each letter once with no copy/pasting. I'm not completely happy with it and will probably tweek some letters at some point.

Also this week, I debuted my first comic strip. I've been wanting to do something like that with my pictures for a while now but couldn't figure out how to do that exactly until now. So get ready to be bombarded with comic versions of my hilarious one liners I will blow your minds with. I considered reposting the one from Thursday but decided to grace you with a new one instead! And then after today they will be separate from the Sunday comics. Also I'm taking suggestions for a name for my comic for when it becomes crazy popular and all the news papers want it.
Every workplace has one of these guys

So, I'm not really sure how it happened but I forgot to include my recipe link in last weeks post. What that means is TWO this week!
Pumpkin Cheesecake Pie
Just in time for Thanksgiving, this is the perfect combination of pumpkin pie and cheese cake! You get the best of both treats!

And this week's recipe:
Shrimp Cevice
I don't really have anything to say about this except that it's yummy :)

That's all I can think of for now so I'm off! Have a fantastic week!

I Don't Want to Be a Pirate

Actually I do want to be a pirate... However....

Pretty standard week. Worked a lot, watched TV a lot, did nothing a lot... BUT I did create a Halloween version of my blog (for those of you reading in a reader, I suggest you go to the actual page to see the brilliance). Here's something to entice you:

Awesome, I know. And what do others think?

Couldn't help myself.

So anyway. In other Lauren news... I was creating a "Do All the Things" meme image and  was struggling with writing letters with a my laptop touch pad. I wondered if there's a Hyperbole and a Half font out there. Since I presumed that there isn't I wondered how fonts are actually made. Software probably right? Well I Googled the shit out of it it briefly and found a site with step by step instructions and what software to use.

I may create a Hyperbole and a Half font as well but FIRST I am making a blog you're about to read font! Yes, I'm making a font that's my "painstakingly frustrating letter writing with a mouse and or laptop touchpad" "handwriting."

I'm excited for if I'm successful because it will be way easier to put text on my pictures. I suppose I could just use an already created font, but where's the fun in that? So far I've made "a," "b," and "c." It's gonna take a while.

And if I make a Hyperbole and a Half font, be prepared for piles of Do All the Things meme images. Though I probably wouldn't post many on here. By the way, anyone who wants to start a blog you're about to read meme... I will LOVE YOU FOREVER!

Alright enough rambling, have a great week and a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

I'm a Winner!

This week was kinda boring. One exciting thing that happened was that Kirsti from A Quick Succession of Busy Nothings celebrated her one year blogiversary and had a givaway to celebrate it. She had a drawing for three really cool things....

and IIIIIII won the kangaroo cookie cutter I wanted!
So to my few real-life friends who read this: get ready for some kangaroo cookies!!! Also happy blogiversary to Kirsti!

OH YEAH! I actually also saw Jerry Seinfeld live which was super fun.
Best photo I've ever taken.
And that was about all aside from the party I went to that became not so much a party and more of several-people-hanging-out. But that was fun and there were cupcakes.
iPhone/Pod Touches take the grainiest photos.
Yeah so that's all, have a great week!

I Now Own a Snuggie.

So after some pretty pathetic goes at Sunday posts the past few weeks, I was thinking that this week I would go all out and actually compose a post with some decent content.

What does Leslie Knope think about this idea?...
Get ready to see this image ALL THE TIME.
Well since Leslie likes it lets do it!

First! I finished designing the header for the dadtolibbs.com blog. It's awesome, if I do say so myself... but other people think its awesome too and I believe them. Behold:
And if you don't believe me purely from the visual evidence, the author of dadtolibbs.com also wrote me a rave review.

Next... it's The De-Student, Liddy's, birthday so hop on over to her blog, which I love, and wish her a happy birthday.

Lessee what else? I went on a trip to Boston but I used my film SLR and have yet to get those photos developed. When I do I will give you a photo tour of my trip, and until then here's my favorite one:
Okay, it's not really my favorite but I loved how fancy this Starbucks is.

Nothing else interesting really happened except for my birthday party, which was fun, and one of my friends had a Psych premiere party in which I got some free swag. Free stuff is awesome especially if it is Psych themed.
I otherwise never would have owned a Snuggie.

I can't think of anything else so that's all for today, have a great week!

My Workplace Needs an Ambassador of Trees

It's too cold and sleepy out for a real post. Here's a comic.

If I wasn't the girl, I could totally see this happening to me.
