A few days ago, I was horrified to learn that Spy Kids thinks it's a good idea to bring back smell-o-vision with Spy Kids 4D. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I could have sworn that smell is a sense. Yeah that's what I thought. And for anyone who doesn't know, the 4th dimension is time. We learned that in the third Back to the Future. And maybe also in school but I learned it from Doc Brown. And the best part about it... they're calling it "Aroma-Scope."
Why, Joel McHale? WHY?
Who are the ad wizards who came up with that one? For me, however, the worst thing about this movie is that Joel McHale is in it. He is so much better than this. And Jessica Alba is somewhat better than it as well.
Oh well, it's probably dumb to be criticizing a kids movie anyway.
My husband and I saw the preview for Spy Kids when we went to see Harry Potter. We were like, "Oh, how clever, 4D, because they're messing with time in the movie." I didn't realize they were adding smell to the movie and calling that the 4th dimension. That's really sad.
